I don’t want to be just a straight pop singer. I’m a vocalist and that’s what I want to be seen as in the long run.

I got along better with the guys than with the girls. Only two girls came up to talk to me. Later I found out they were telling their boyfriends, ‘If you talk to her, I’ll kill you.’ It’s always rough with that high school thing.

“I turned down a part in “Valley Of The Dolls” because it depicted me as a singer and that’s the kind of movie I don’t want to do. I’d like a role similiar to many of Angelina Jolie’s. A little gritty, but interesting to watch.”

You know what, I’m very interested in acting, but right now I’m busy promoting my album and going on tour because that’s my first love, but I’m very interested in doing some parts that may come my way. I’ve been offered a few movie parts so far, but I have to really concentrate on singing. But it’s something I’m interested in doing eventually. I haven’t been offered a part that truly inspires me to take time off, though.

So I am interested in acting, but offers that have come in are ‘small town girl wants to be a singer, has dreams and aspirations, makes it as a star.’ JLo could pull that off, give it to her.

Saturday Night Live was fun, really really fun. The changing lady was so quick, she almost tore my arm off after the opening monolouge.
